We’re excited to announce that Bloomberg BusinessWeek in conjunction with AI List, a venture capital investment platform, named DataVisor as one of the top 30 AI startups in the US. AI List’s search began with 5,000 start-up companies that apply AI across all industries. They looked at many dimensions of each company including technology, financing, founder and team talent, company development, and competition.
The AI List’s approach was based on the original AI list created in 2009 from a challenge by BusinessWeek’s Ira Sager. The creator of the list was Bob Goodson, who used a computer program with similar methodology to create his list of 50 AI companies. Eight years later, even Goodson was shocked by the performance of the list, which included industry legends like Palantir and Evernote. Overall, Goodson’s original list of 50 early companies blossomed into a list in which 20% of companies reached a valuation north of $1 billion.
At DataVisor, we’re proud to be listed as a top 30 AI startup in this year’s list and among the four companies in the AI + Finance group.
The other startups included in the AI + Finance category were Harvesting Inc, which provides credit risk profiling and risk scoring for agri-economies; FlowCast, which provides an AI-powered API for businesses to access affordable financing options; and AppZen, an intelligent solution for automated real-time expense audits.
