DataVisor Makes World Economic Forum’s 2020 List of Technology Pioneers

What does it mean to be a pioneer in technology? What responsibility does it hold? A lot, according to the World Economic Forum, who just announced its selection of more than 100 of the most promising, innovative Technology Pioneers of 2020 — and DataVisor is on the list. The World Forum’s community of Technology Pioneers consists of start-ups and growth-stage companies who have the most potential to impact business and society in a significant way with new technologies. Launched in the year 2000, the community consists of companies that are changing the way we solve the world’s problems and shaping the future by advancing technologies such as AI, IoT, robotics, blockchain, biotechnology, and more. As noted on the Forum’s website, “Technology Pioneers contribute to the exploration of future trends, analysis of how new technologies transform business models, and assessment of implications for individuals, industry, governments and civil society.”

Today’s Challenges Require Pioneering Solutions

In this time of uncertainty, with COVID-19 changing the way we live and work, pioneering technologies are of critical importance. Many of the pioneers named by the World Economic Forum are using their solutions to address challenges created by the pandemic, and accelerate transformation for organizations worldwide so they can better weather the storm.

For example, as the leading fraud detection company with AI-powered solutions for fighting fraud, DataVisor is helping organizations fight new threats introduced by fraudsters looking to cash in on the crisis.

  • Financial institutions have seen increased fraud rates as criminals use synthetic IDs to submit fake loan applications.
  • Americans have become vulnerable to phishing scams, as fraudsters take advantage of their uncertainty and lure them with phony websites promising employment help.
  • Increased use of e-commerce and mobile apps and devices have broadened the threat landscape, opening the door to coordinated attacks and account takeovers

These are just a few of the ways new forms of fraud are threatening organizations and consumers as the world grapples with unprecedented challenges, and DataVisor is helping businesses fight back.

An Ongoing Commitment to Making a Difference

As part of the honor of making the World Economic Forum’s list of technology pioneers, DataVisor’s Founder and CEO Yinglian Xie will participate in World Economic Forum activities, events and discussions throughout the year. Datavisor will also contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, and work with policymakers and private sector leaders to help define the global agenda on key issues, such as COVID-19.

In a recent press release announcing our inclusion on the list of Technology Pioneers, Xie expressed her gratitude and the company’s dedication to delivering transformative solutions that help organizations combat modern fraud. “We are proud to be a global organization that is committed to technology innovation, and this prestigious award is confirmation of the importance of our contributions in the area of Ai and Machine Learning.  It underscores our commitment to using technology to make the future of digital safe for everyone and making an impact worldwide with transformative AI-driven technologies that help organizations fight the battle against fraudsters and malicious actors while protecting the consumers who interact with them.”
