Finishing 2017 With Four Awards

December 5, 2017

Frost & Sullivan 2017 Global Fraud Detection Technology Innovation Award

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve received the 2017 Global Fraud Detection Technology Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan for our unique Unsupervised Machine Learning (UML) Solution. For this award, Frost & Sullivan surveyed fraud detection companies in a variety of regional and global markets and rated them on Industry Impact, Product Impact, Scalability, Visionary Innovation, Application Diversity, Financial Performance, Customer Acquisition, Technology Licensing, Brand Loyalty, and Human Capital.

“Traditional fraud detection solutions and anti-money laundering (AML) transaction monitoring systems are built around a set of rules or supervised machine learning models that require frequent updates based on the changing nature of the attacks,” said Jean-Noël Georges Global Program Director Digital Transformation Practice. “In contrast, DataVisor’s UML Solution does not use historical data to derive patterns from, which allows it to find new attacks and reduces the need for constant updates.”

“Outstanding Anti-Fraud Technology Award” and “Artificial Intelligence Innovative Leader Award”

Two additional awards came from the 9th Fintech and Payment Innovation 2017, where DataVisor received two accolades. The first was the “Outstanding Anti-Fraud Technology Award” for DataVisor’s unique ability to detect unknown fraud attacks at high accuracy and large scale. DataVisor’s CEO and co-founder, Yinglian Xie, also won the “Artificial Intelligence Innovative Leader Award” and gave a talk at the conference, which attracted more than 1,500 individuals and 500 industry executives.

“We are proud of our innovative approach to detecting modern fraud attacks. To date, we’ve protected more than 2 billion accounts worldwide, but the most exciting part is that we’re just getting started,” Yinglian Xie concludes in her talk.

Top 30 AI Startup

The final award came from Bloomberg BusinessWeek in conjunction with AI List, which recognized DataVisor as one of the top 30 AI Startups in the US. Companies that were previously on this list include Palantir, Cloudera, Spotify, and Evernote. At DataVisor, we’re proud to be listed as a top 30 AI startup in this year’s list and among the four companies in the AI + Finance group.
